Yesterday I received a message from a former client of mine. I worked with him a few years ago and he wanted to offer his gratitude for the work we had done together in landing a new position for him. He was always a kind person and treated everyone with respect, so I wasn’t surprised to receive his message. You never know what the impact will be on someone you remember, recognize or just connect with. I thought about the timing of his message, Thanksgiving, and it is likely that he sent several messages to people who had helped him along his life’s journey. It was such a good reminder that a few kind words can mean the world to someone. On my way home I saw a gentleman in my neighborhood who lived across the street from me. I’d never met him so I stopped the car and introduced myself to him. We had a nice chat and I wished him Happy Thanksgiving. My heart was full and I wanted to extend thanks to all those who have supported me along my life’s journey. Happy Thanksgiving!
